Frequently Asked Questions
Which certification do I need for Cenote diving?
You need to be Open Water certified. No further qualifications are necessary as you will go with a Full Cave Certified Guide, divemaster or higher leading the group with 4 people maximum per guide. Cenotes are accessible for all, there are really easy ones, wide and with perfect visibility.

Do I need a diving insurance?
Here in Mexico, it's not mandatory, but we always recommend you get one.

Which wetsuit should I use?
A 3 mm wetsuit should be enough. The water temperature of the cenotes is 73 degrees and the ocean between 75 to 85 degrees.

Which kind of tanks do we use?
The most common here are 80 cubic feet aluminium tanks. If you have a DIN regulator, we strongly recommend you bring an adaptor.

Do you have Nitrox?
Of course, let us know a day earlier, we provide up to 40% for recreational divers.
A nitrox certification is a requirement.
